My inspiration is drawn from many sources, one being my love of the countryside and the beautiful scenery of the Lake District. Taking my observations of the landscape structure into a more abstract form to capture and reflect thoughts, feelings and moments.
The fascinating textural qualities produced in my work by manipulating, layering and burning fabric is endlessly explored.
Many of my wall pieces are expressions of the world around me and personal experience.
Working with textiles is instinctively the medium that I enjoy using to translate ideas into visual art forms, which then have a life of their own.
Each piece is unique and created using texture and colour to maximise the emotion and effect I want to achieve.
